Ajay Devgn, born as Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and producer mainly active in Bollywood. Famed as a top-tier actors, he has featured in over a hundred movies and won many awards, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award. Devgn made his acting debut with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a blockbuster that made him an overnight star. He subsequently featured in hit action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic blockbusters like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) secured him a prestigious National Award. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn offered highly appreciated performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His role as Bhagat Singh earned him his another National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he returned with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017).
